A-Monumental

A-Monumental

2025

A-Monumental is a practice-based project developed for use within live protest spaces. Shaped by interviews with activists, the work consists of small, wearable objects designed for demonstrations, positioned in contrast to large-scale protest signage and uniform messages distributed by organizations.

Drawing on the language of contemporary jewelry, the pieces operate at an intimate scale, requiring physical proximity in order to be read. Worn and adapted by participants, the open-ended pieces allow for personal inscription and expression, examining how individuality, closeness, and presence can exist within collective protest during the Israel–Gaza war.
